Club Meds Volunteer
Provide direct medical care and treatment to campers and staff. Medical certification required (registered nurse or nurse practitioner). Weekly, half- and full-summer opportunities available.
Mental Health Specialist
Provide campers with supportive, therapeutic and crisis-oriented counseling and intervention. Degree in social work or related field required. Weekly, half- and full-summer opportunities available.
Assist with all general camp management, train, mentor and work alongside all camp volunteers to ensure an amazing experience for all.
Manage a cabin of energy-filled campers, in addition to helping plan, prepare and implement programs such as skill areas, song leading, closing campfire, cabin times and reflections. Assistance with general camp operations required.
Program Volunteer/Camp Ambassador
Open to former campers (18-years and older) as the final step of our leadership program. Gain valuable speaking experience through our Journey of Hope program, lead an outdoor adventure trip and participate in other life skill activities.
Prepare and cook meals in a timely, safe and efficient manner. (Option to work full or part-time during the summer)
Work behind the scenes to ensure our facility is clean, safe and welcoming. Primary responsibilities include cleaning bathrooms, sweeping and vacuuming.
Help prepare and cook meals. Tasks include prepping the salad bar, baking desserts and setting tables.
Help keep our amazing facility looking great. Tasks include light-duty repairs to equipment and buildings, changing light bulbs, general yard work and various projects to enhance the property.
Help us tell our story by capturing our campers and staff in action. (Weekly with flexible hours)

Fill out online background check form
Step 3 is only for those who have not worked at camp in 2014 or 2015.
- Print 3 copies of the reference form
- Give forms to 3 different professional references (not family members) to fill out on your behalf
- References should return forms via email or mail to: One Heartland Center 26001 Heinz Road Willow River, MN 55795
In addition to filling out these mandatory forms a staff member will be in contact with you to set up a phone or in-person interview. All volunteers including return volunteers will need to complete this interview to be considered for summer 2016.
