Bikers with Big Hearts

Yesterday One Heartland Center received their annual soy milk donation, an invaluable contribution that is both arranged and delivered by the fundraising group, Bikers with Big Hearts. But the soy milk is just one small part of what this amazing group does for our campers.

Since 2002, BWBH have raised money for One Heartland with their annual Camp Heartland Ride – a fundraising motorcycle ride in north-central Minnesota – and they have also donated a lawn-mower, bedding, a van and trailer, a picnic table and in 2012 they donated a large amount toward our brand new fishing dock. All told, they have donated more than $25,000 toward our camps over the last 12 years. But on top of all that they do for us financially, they also stay engaged with One Heartland all year long; leading tours, educating others about our camps and helping with our program needs.

They have done so much, in fact, that they were one of our 20for20 honorees at last year’s Holiday in the Heartland.

This year’s Camp Heartland Ride takes place on Saturday, July 26. The ride starts in Alexandria, Minn. and ends in Leaf Valley, Minn. For more information visit www.bikerswithbighearts.com.

Thanks again to all the ride participants past and present for all that they have done for One Heartland!
