Dear One Heartland Family,
As the Executive Director of One Heartland, I want to express our concern and gratitude for you during this challenging time. I hope you are doing what you can to protect yourself, your family, friends and community. You are a part of our camp family and your health and well-being matter to us.
As you know, there are so many uncertainties as the spread of COVID-19 continues. None of us know what the upcoming days, weeks and months will bring. With that said, I wanted to let you know what has been happening with camp.
In order to keep our staff healthy, we have moved to mostly remote workstations. We continue to monitor our phones and email as we work outside the office. We are having ongoing meetings with our Board of Directors as we look ahead to what this all means for events we had scheduled as well as possible impacts to our upcoming summer programming.
This is an evolving situation for everyone and as decisions are made by our leadership, we will communicate as we can to our families and supporters.
As you know, many of our camper families live at or below the poverty level and the support of individuals is critical to make camp available to any camper who needs it. With the cancellation of events that support our work as well as anticipating the drop in other funding as the effects of COVID-19 take hold, we need your support now more than ever. If you have the resources, please consider making a donation or becoming a monthly donor by clicking here.
We know these are stressful and uncertain times. Please know that we are thinking of you and we are so grateful to call you family.
Thank you for your support of our mission. It means the world to us and to the kids who need camp most.
Take good care,
