Two New Board Members

One Heartland is pleased to announce its two newest board members, Nicole Edward and Janine Braman. Both will bring a wealth of knowledge to our organization, and their backgrounds will complement those of current board members and senior staff.

Nicole Edward has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations, both from the University of Minnesota. Her professional background is in the recruiting, commercial real estate and insurance sectors, and she has a proven track record in growing revenue while simultaneously decreasing costs. Most recently, Edward served as the Vice President of Sales and Director of Human Resources for LTC Solutions, Inc. of Redmond, Wash.

Janine Braman has Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn.  Her professional background is in Educational Counseling, and she has worked at both the high school and college levels.  Currently, she is the owner of Braman Educational Consulting which supports students and families through the post-secondary planning process.  In addition, she served on the Board of Directors for a youth soccer organization from 2006-2012.

“These two individuals will be a huge asset to One Heartland,” says One Heartland Executive Director Patrick Kindler. “Not only do they bring their invaluable skill sets to the organization, but they are also very connected in the Twin Cities metro area, and the region, which is very important to raising One Heartland’s visibility among donors, volunteers and the business community. While we continue to serve children nationally with programs that fund themselves, we are focusing on local programs, partnerships and fundraising in and around the Midwest.”

Please join us in welcoming them to our One Heartland family!
