Head Cook (Kitchen Supervisor)

Under the supervision of the Facility Director, the Head Cook directs the overall food service operation of the camp for up to 150 participants at any one time. This includes adequate stock rotation and food purchasing, food preparation, following a pre-determined menu to ensure balanced nutrition, following due diligence to any dietary restrictions and food allergies, scheduling kitchen staff, and keeping a safe and sanitary kitchen environment. They supervise and direct any staff working in the kitchen. While very behind the scenes at camp, this person is also encouraged to interact with campers and staff during meal times.

Interested applicants should, at minimum, have previous experience in food service management. Any experience in large scale food service management (hotels, camps, schools) and current Minnesota Certified Food Protection Manager or ServSafe certification is a plus.

$15/hour, or weekly rate plus room and board available for candidates interested in living on site for the summer.

Cook

Under the supervision of the Head Cook, the Cook prepares and serves high-quality meals for up to 150 participants at any one time. They must be able to work well as a member of a team to prepare nutritious and camper-friendly meals, assist with clean-up and inventory, and ensure all health and safety standards are met. 

Interested applicants should have prior food service or culinary experience.

$12.50/hour, or weekly rate plus room and board for candidates interested in living on site for the summer. Will accept short-term applicants, but those who can commit to whole summer encouraged to apply.

Kitchen Assistant

Kitchen Assistants assist the Cooks in preparing and serving nutritious meals and in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen. They help prepare fruit bars, salad bars, snacks, etc. They also assist with clean up after meals, including washing dishes and sweeping the dining hall.

Interested applicants do not need any prior experience, but should be willing to be adaptable, help wherever needed, and be excited to learn new culinary skills.

$275/week plus room and board

Housekeeper

The Housekeeper assists with behind the scenes functions that help camp run smoothly, including, but not limited to: laundry, vacuuming, trash removal, supply restocking, and keeping all areas of camp cleaned and maintained. 

Those interested in this position should possess strong time management skills, along with the ability to work well independently.

$12.50/hour, or weekly rate plus room and board for candidates interested in living on site for the summer.

Maintenance Assistant

Under the supervision of the Facility Director, the Maintenance Assistant will assist in completing much needed tasks such as light duty repairs to equipment and buildings, changing light bulbs, daily checks in areas like the pool and bathrooms, general yard work/groundskeeping and various projects for the enhancement of the property and facilities.

Those interested in this position should possess strong time management skills, along with the ability to work well independently.
